The Explorers Gateway marks the final and most pivotal stage of the Students for a Better Future (SBF) scholarship selection journey in Cape Town. This immersive, hands-on experience brings together shortlisted Grade 6 applicants in a collaborative environment where they demonstrate their problem-solving abilities, teamwork, resilience, and leadership potential.


Hosted at Wynberg Girls' High School, the 2026 Explorers Gateway was filled with anticipation, courage, and emotion. After months of preparation and evaluation, candidates and their families gathered for the life-changing announcement of the 2026 SBF scholarship recipients.


For many families, this moment represents more than an academic opportunity — it is the opening of a new future. The announcement profoundly impacts the educational journey and long-term prospects of each successful candidate. Tears of relief, joy, and pride captured the significance of what this scholarship means: access, possibility, and hope.
